Information Systems

Formed in 2007, the Information Systems Group (ISG) brings together a set of academic and industry skill sets with a focus on the use and evolution of information technology.

Members of the ISG conduct and publish research on e-learning, libraries and information agencies, information science, archives, records management, project management, business rules and computer science topics, encapsulated within the themes of Value IT and Technology for Learning.

The ISG, in conjunction with research students, industry and government partners, strives to leverage information systems to address perceived weaknesses in technology-based work environments and create innovation within the broader information technology community.

Membership

In 2007 the group comprised 12 academic staff members and one part member, though two members are teacher scholars.

Activities

The group was active across a range of other activities including newspaper articles, panel memberships, organising committees and industry engagement.

Awards

A notable achievement was Garry Trinder being awarded the WAITTA lifetime achiever award in March 2007.
